1. Who can use Apex

You must be at least 18 and have an invite from us, a friend or a group, or a place from our waitlist. Text Apex from a phone number and Apple ID that are yours, and keep your phone safe, because anyone who can text from them can talk to your Apex. Only connect a Google account you are allowed to use.

2. What Apex does

Apex is a personal assistant that you text in iMessage. It reads your mail and calendar when a request needs it, and your busy times for Circle if you choose to share them. It writes drafts, keeps reminders and watches, makes private files for you and looks things up on the web.

Apex acts on your instructions. Before a step that reaches other people, such as changing a meeting with guests, Apex asks you. Apex never sends a mail itself. It writes a draft and you send it. Approved steps may not be reversible.

3. Sellers and other services

Apex can find things and get them ready, and after your ok on the amount it can finish the purchase on the seller’s site. Otherwise you pay the last step yourself there. The agreement is between you and that seller. Their prices, terms and refund rules apply, and complaints about the goods or service go to them.

Check the amount before you say ok, because Apex can get a cart wrong. Only the seller can confirm that something is paid or booked.

Your Google account is run by Google under its own terms. Lane Labs is not responsible for its availability or content.

4. AI can be wrong

Apex is an AI and can misunderstand or make mistakes. Check important details, such as dates, amounts and recipients, before you approve. Do not rely on Apex alone for medical, legal or financial decisions.

5. Money

Apex can finish a purchase for you only after your ok on the amount. A card you link on our website is stored encrypted by Crossmint, not by Lane Labs. Apex never holds your money. Never send card details or a code in the chat.

6. Circle

When you add someone to your Circle, you send them your join link yourself. Apex never texts the people you invite. Share your times only with people you trust. You are responsible for what you share.

7. Your content

You keep the rights to your messages, files and other content. You give us a limited permission to store, process and send it only as needed to provide Apex. This is not permission to sell it. We train Apex's own models on what you write to Apex unless you turn it off, as our Privacy Policy section 4 says, and never on your mail, calendar or files.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use Apex to send spam or deceptive messages, harass anyone, access accounts without permission, buy things that are unlawful, infringe others’ rights, or get around security limits.

We may pause access when reasonably needed because of a security risk, unlawful use or a serious breach. Where practical, we explain why and let you fix it.

9. Price

The test is free. Your Apex has a daily and a monthly cost limit, and when it is reached Apex rests until the next day or month. If we offer a paid plan later, its price and conditions are shown first and apply only if you accept them.

10. Ending and deletion

You can stop at any time. Write stop to pause Apex and start to wake it. To delete your data, write radera allt to Apex or write to rufus@lanelabs.ai. While Apex is paused it reads nothing else you write, except radera allt, which still erases everything.

Writing radera allt removes your chat, notes, reminders, watches and your Apex server, and revokes Apex’s access to Google. It does not delete originals at Google or the messages on your phone. Your invite and account on our website, the files Apex made for you and your Circle are not part of that step yet, so write to us and we delete them too. Your last busy times end on their own within 48 hours.

The test may change, pause or end. We give reasonable notice before closing a service you use.

11. Consumer rights and complaints

If a Service does not meet legal requirements, you can contact us for the remedies consumer law provides. Where a right of withdrawal applies to a paid plan, you can use it within 14 days by telling us. No reason is needed.

Unresolved consumer disputes can be taken to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN) or the courts.

12. Responsibility

We provide Apex with reasonable care. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, or for the goods and services of sellers you dealt with. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes and law

We update these Terms when Apex changes. Material changes are announced in advance. If you do not accept them, you can stop and ask us to delete everything.

Swedish law applies, without removing protections that apply where you live.
